DiMarzio Bluesbucker Humbucker Pickup
The Bluesbucker looks like a standard humbucker but delivers the unmistakable tone of a P90 while effectively canceling 60-cycle hum. It allows any standard humbucker-equipped guitar to achieve classic P90 voice without requiring body modifications or introducing unwanted noise.
Built with patented Virtual Vintage and Airbucker technology, the Bluesbucker senses a narrow string window like a true single-coil, making it exceptionally dynamic and responsive to playing nuances. Splitting the pickup produces a Strat-style single-coil voice with minimal output loss, while paired sets yield an open, hollow sound.
Featuring an asymmetrical coil design, the slotted adjustable pole coil acts as the primary hot coil while the solid pole coil cancels hum. Installation orientation directly shapes tone: positioning the hot coil closer to the bridge creates a brighter attack, whereas facing the neck yields a warmer, rounder character.
