As an evolution of the closed-gear tuning machine introduced in 1966, this model features identical mounting dimensions to its predecessor for straightforward replacement without modifications.
Every component is CNC-machined to exacting tolerances, surface-finished, and fitted with high-grade brass string posts for maximum stability and wear resistance. The self-locking internal drive mechanism ensures smooth, sensitive, and reliable tuning across all strings.
The stepped M6 flanged washer centers the string post securely through the banjo bolt, eliminating tilt torque and unnecessary pressure on the rear mounting screw. Permanently lubricated with Schaller special grease, each enclosed unit remains completely maintenance-free.
