The AxLabs Habanero-loaded pickguard system features boutique-quality components including USA-made Habanero Tabasco pickups designed by Grover Jackson, a Pure Tone multi-contact output jack, custom AxLabs potentiometers, an Orange Drop capacitor, and vintage-correct Gavitt cloth-jacketed wire. Engineered for seamless performance, this drop-in prewired assembly provides a reliable tonal and electronic upgrade for T-style guitars.
Handmade in California, the Tabasco Tele-style pickups utilize Alnico V magnets to deliver classic twang with slightly hotter output and smooth highs. The neck position features 43 AWG wire with 7.8k DC resistance, while the bridge pickup utilizes 42 AWG wire with 6.7k DC resistance, preserving vintage dynamics while offering enhanced harmonic punch.
The prewired control plate integrates custom-taper potentiometers for smooth, linear volume and tone sweeps alongside a robust 3-way switch fitted with a secure nylon-grip barrel tip. Coupled with the patented Pure Tone PTT1 jack for low noise and superior signal conductivity, this complete assembly ensures effortless installation in minutes.
