The DiMarzio Eclipse 8 Neck pickup was developed in collaboration with Javier Reyes to meet the demands of modern extended-range 8-string guitarists. Designed to capture a diverse sonic spectrum spanning progressive metal, classical, jazz, and Latin styles, it delivers balanced performance across the entire fretboard.
Featuring individual coils tuned to different frequencies with distinct inductance loading, this neck model provides an output level reminiscent of a classic PAF while offering transparent lows and mids. The high-end response delivers a glassy chime typically found in single-coil designs, ensuring both hyper-clean clarity and high-gain definition.
Engineered for exceptional headroom and balanced string-to-string volume, the pickup keeps lower chord fundamentals and upper melodic lines clearly articulated simultaneously. It utilizes ceramic magnets and 4-conductor wiring to deliver versatile tonal configurations for demanding guitarists.
