The innovative stepped M6 flanged washer reliably centers the string post without requiring a stepped peghead bore, eliminating tilting torque and reducing mechanical stress on the post and rear mounting screw.
Permanently lubricated with Schaller special grease, the enclosed housing is entirely maintenance-free. While the M6 180 features slightly more compact housing dimensions than its historic predecessor, it directly replaces older units without headstock modifications.
