Crafted with high-grade brass string posts precisely fitted into the housing, this tuning machine provides maximum tuning stability and wear resistance. Each closed unit is permanently lubricated with Schaller special grease, making it completely maintenance-free over its entire lifespan.
An innovative stepped M6 flanged washer with a 0.39 in (10 mm) base reliably centers the string post via the banjo bolt, eliminating the need for a stepped headstock bore. This design eliminates tilting torque and reduces strain on both the string post and rear mounting screw.
