DiMarzio D Sonic Bridge Pickup
The DiMarzio D Sonic is a high-output bridge humbucker engineered specifically to handle extended low end and heavy dropped tunings while retaining articulate high-frequency response. Designed for solid body guitars, it delivers tight low-end definition for heavy rhythms alongside crisp, cutting clarity for single-note soloing in both standard and dropped tunings.
Featuring a patented asymmetrical design with a solid bar and adjustable pole pieces, the installation orientation alters the tonal response. Placing the solid bar toward the bridge produces a brighter, defined response tailored for heavier string gauges, while orienting the adjustable pole pieces toward the bridge creates a warmer, louder voice suited for standard tuning and lead playing.
Equipped with 4-conductor wiring and a ceramic magnet, this pickup extends beyond standard series operation. The distinct winding profile of each individual coil enables access to two unique split single-coil voices as well as a clean, articulate parallel humbucking mode.
