The DiMarzio PG-13 Neck mini humbucker was developed in collaboration with Paul Gilbert to deliver an optimal balance of clarity, warmth, and articulation. Engineered to bridge the gap between a full-sized humbucker and a single-coil, it senses a narrower length of string vibration to reduce lower harmonics for a brighter, more defined voice.
Featuring a ceramic magnet and individually tuned coils, this neck model produces a smooth treble response while maintaining punchy low-end definition without becoming muddy. Its slightly fatter, creamier tonal profile makes it well-suited for jazz and blues soloing, as well as classic rock and modern metal.
Equipped with standard 4-conductor wiring, the PG-13 Neck model delivers versatile sonic capabilities across various musical styles. It is optimized for the neck position and pairs seamlessly with bridge models for balanced, articulate dual-pickup configurations.
