DiMarzio SDS-1 Strat Pickup

The DiMarzio SDS-1 brings punch, gain, and warmth reminiscent of classic vintage soapbar pickups to a standard Strat single-coil format. Designed primarily for the bridge position, it delivers a rounder, darker response with deeper low end and smooth highs, effectively taming harsh treble while providing the drive needed to push an amplifier.
Featuring adjustable steel pole pieces and ceramic bar magnets, this pickup generates high output while producing significantly less magnetic pull than traditional rod magnets. This design allows players to position the pickup closer to the strings without dampening sustain or causing intonation issues.
Ideal as an upgrade for edgy bridge positions, the SDS-1 pairs seamlessly with True Velvet pickups in the neck and middle positions for versatile, balanced tonal configurations.
