The DiMarzio D Activator Neck humbucker is engineered to deliver the power and clarity of active pickups without the need for batteries or sacrificing dynamic response. Coils tuned to specific frequencies shift resonant points to fundamental tones and harmonics, responding instantly to both hard and light pick attacks.
This neck pickup produces a big, bright, and open sound characterized by tight lows, rich harmonic overtones, and balanced string-to-string separation. Both wound and plain strings maintain clear articulation and focused projection across the entire fretboard rather than sounding thin or brittle in the upper register.
Featuring ceramic magnets and four-conductor wiring, it performs exceptionally well in bolt-on and set-neck guitars across neck or bridge placements. Passive operation integrates standard 500K potentiometers for reliable signal control and maximum headroom.
