The DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary Bridge pickup delivers vintage humbucker characteristics by combining a soft magnetic field, sweet tone, and an ideal balance of warmth and clarity. Re-engineered using patented technology and Larry DiMarzio’s 1959 cherry sunburst Gibson Les Paul as a reference, it allows guitar strings to vibrate longer while focusing dynamic attack and output response.
Crafted with computer-controlled winders layering 42-gauge custom-coated wire, this pickup is dipped in a proprietary formula to eliminate microphonics and squeal. The nickel-silver cover provides enhanced magnetic transparency, ensuring articulate sound definition that shifts smoothly from clean to overdriven based entirely on pick attack.
Hotter than its neck counterpart, this pickup performs exceptionally well on set-neck 24.75-inch scale guitars as well as tremolo-equipped bolt-on instruments. It offers expanded versatility with great coil-splitting capabilities, producing bright and lively single-coil tones without sounding sterile.
