The Floyd Rose Rail Tail Tremolo is a full-contact, dive-only tremolo engineered to retrofit existing Strat-style 6-point bridge guitars without body modifications. Designed with computer precision, it combines the solid feel and tuning stability of a hardtail bridge with the dynamic expression of a traditional tremolo system.
Unlike conventional bridges that pivot on screw bevels, the Rail Tail plate rotates around a precision rail mounted directly to the guitar body. This full-contact design enhances acoustic energy transfer and sustain while creating a higher breakpoint that keeps open strings in pitch during single-string bends.
Equipped with slotted mounting holes, roller-fitted string saddles, and a specialized tapered string block, the bridge allows up to 15 degrees more rotational dive range than standard vintage units. This wide vintage-spaced model provides enhanced vibrational transfer, superior tone, and reliable stability for left-handed instruments.
