DiMarzio Model One Bass Pickup

Originally engineered as a direct replacement for Gibson EB series neck pickups, the DiMarzio Model One produces a warm, full tone characterized by massive low-end authority without sacrificing clarity. Its specialized design eliminates unwanted mud, providing deep and defined foundation notes ideal for classic bass tones or modern multi-pickup rigs.
Equipped with four-conductor wiring and a powerful ceramic magnet, this pickup supports flexible coil-wiring configurations. Switching from series to parallel wiring tames the output while opening up the midrange with a transparent, highly responsive acoustic dynamic that cleanly cuts through dense mixes.
For bassists building bi-amp or multi-pickup instruments, combining the Model One with standard bridge or middle pickups enables dedicated woofer-and-tweeter routing. Sending its seismic frequency response through large cabinets delivers the massive bottom-end response pioneered by legendary players like Billy Sheehan.
