The DiMarzio PAF Joe is a versatile neck humbucker developed in collaboration with Joe Satriani, combining the defining qualities of the PAF Pro with vintage late-1950s humbucker tone. Designed to deliver a distinct tubular response, it blends clear low frequencies with warm mids and smooth highs for exceptional clarity.
Featuring Virtual Vintage technology, this pickup enhances articulation across chords and preserves body on high-fret single-note solos without thinning out. Its calibrated output offers slightly less power than the PAF Pro, making it an ideal match for bridge models like the FRED, Norton, and Air Norton.
Built with an Alnico 5 magnet and standard 4-conductor wiring, the PAF Joe supports versatile switching options and excels in solid, semi-solid, and hollow-body electric guitars across all positions.
