The DiMarzio Rainmaker 7 Neck pickup was developed in collaboration with John Petrucci of Dream Theater to deliver an expressive, intense, and dynamic voice for 7-string guitars. Designed to highlight the tonal complexities of high-performance instruments, it offers an increased sensitivity to pick attack along with an expanded dynamic range.
Engineered with a broader EQ curve than previous signature models, the Rainmaker 7 blends warmer highs with open mids to balance classic articulation and modern performance. It provides a sweet overdriven tone that cleans up exceptionally well when rolling down the guitar volume while maintaining clarity under heavy gain.
Featuring a ceramic magnet, 4-conductor wiring, and a DC resistance of 11.53 Kohm, this neck humbucker is optimized for solid and semi-solid body electric guitars. It delivers an articulate, full-bodied response ideal for both stage and studio applications.
