ESP LTD PHOENIX-204DX Bass Guitar
The LTD Phoenix-204DX delivers the iconic flowing contours of the Phoenix body style in an accessible, performance-driven 4-string electric bass. Built with bolt-on construction at a standard 34-inch scale, it pairs a solid poplar body with a striking burled poplar top that showcases distinctive natural wood grain figuring under a Red Burst finish.
Engineered for fluid playability, the bass features a thin U-profile roasted maple neck paired with a reverse headstock and a rosewood fingerboard. The fretboard is equipped with 21 extra-jumbo frets, dot inlays, a 15.7-inch (400 mm) radius, and a 1.6-inch (40 mm) molded nut for consistent comfort across all registers.
A versatile set of ESP-designed SB-4 pickups in the neck and bridge positions provides broad tonal options, governed by dedicated volume, balance, and active tone boost controls. Reliable black hardware completes the setup, including vintage LTD tuners and a solid LTD DB-4 fixed bridge for rock-solid intonation and tuning stability.
