DiMarzio EJ Custom Neck Pickup
Designed in collaboration with Eric Johnson to bring vintage Gretsch-style clarity to full-size humbucker guitars, the DiMarzio EJ Custom Neck pickup provides bright presence without sacrificing body. Engineered as a direct drop-in replacement for standard humbucker routs, it reproduces the articulate, open character typically associated with classic single-coil designs.
While sharing a similar DC resistance profile to traditional PAF-style models, the EJ Custom emphasizes expanded treble response and reduced output for enhanced chordal definition and fingerpicking dynamics. The bass remains tight and solid, preventing muddiness even under aggressive overdrive or heavy distortion settings.
Equipped with an Alnico 5 magnet and versatile 4-conductor wiring, this pickup is ideal for solid, semi-hollow, and hollow-body electric guitars requiring clean articulation and exceptional solo definition.
