DiMarzio Rainmaker Neck Pickup
The DiMarzio Rainmaker Neck pickup was developed in collaboration with Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci for his signature Ernie Ball Music Man Majesty guitar. Designed to enhance the instrument's natural tonal complexities, it delivers an expressive, intense, and dynamic response suitable for versatile playing styles.
Engineered for increased sensitivity to pick attack and a wider dynamic range, this pickup features an expanded EQ profile. It combines warmer highs with open midrange frequencies, allowing it to transition seamlessly between sweet, blues-inspired overdriven textures and articulate, modern high-gain articulation.
Featuring ceramic magnets and standard 4-conductor wiring, the DP281 is optimized for neck placement in solid and semi-hollow electric guitars. Its moderate output enables guitarists to clean up their signal effortlessly using the volume control while maintaining clarity and note separation.
