DiMarzio Sixties PJ Pickup Set

The DiMarzio Sixties PJ set delivers vintage-inspired rumble and roar, combining time-honored bass tones with modern, artist-tested design. Both pickups feature a fully humbucking coil configuration paired with sculpted metal covers, while potted coils and foil-shielded wiring reduce noise by 3dB compared to standard PJ sets.
Equipped with arched Alnico 5 magnets that mirror the curved cover profile, the set provides an immediate, balanced response across all strings with increased dynamic headroom. Player comfort is enhanced by smooth, rounded edges and a curved top design co-developed with Billy Sheehan.
An innovative circuit board mounting system recesses the height adjustment screws beneath the pickguard plane to prevent right-hand obstruction. Each Sixties P and Sixties J pickup is handmade and tested in New York City for consistent performance.
