MusicNomad Safe Zone Guitar Fret Crowning File (S-File)
The MusicNomad Safe Zone S-File revolutionizes fret crowning with a patent-pending design that prevents overfiling. A smooth, diamond-free strip at the top of the filing channel ensures the tool safely glides over the fret crown once both sides are shaped, eliminating guesswork and dramatically reducing the learning curve.
Featuring a 240-grit premium diamond coating, this file cuts efficiently in both directions to sculpt frets smoothly. Dual channels accommodate narrow, medium, wide, and jumbo frets with optimized radii that closely match original fret shapes. Integrated alignment lines on the nose also allow for precise spot crowning on isolated frets.
Built with an offset ergonomic handle and a blue silicone comfort grip, the tool delivers optimal leverage while clearing the guitar body during neck work. At 0.38 lbs, the weighted core lets the file do the heavy lifting across acoustic guitars, electric guitars, basses, banjos, and ukuleles.
