Schaller M6 180 Guitar Tuning Machine
The Schaller M6 180 guitar tuning machine represents an evolution of the closed tuning machine standard established in 1966. Engineered with a 1:18 gear ratio, it delivers precise and smooth tuning performance. High-precision CNC-machined components and high-grade brass string posts ensure long-lasting tuning stability and wear resistance.
An innovative stepped M6 flanged washer centers the string post reliably via the banjo bolt, eliminating the need for a stepped headstock hole. This design absorbs mechanical pressure from both the post and mounting screws, preventing tilting moments during operation. Sealed housings are permanently lubricated with Schaller special grease for maintenance-free durability.
Designed to drop in cleanly as a replacement for original M6 tuners without instrument modifications, the M6 180 is compatible with various configurations including solid, slotted, and locking string posts. Each unit features self-locking drive mechanisms that guarantee consistent and sensitive adjustment.
