DiMarzio DP193 Air Norton Medium-Output Humbucker Pickup
The DiMarzio DP193 Air Norton began as the Airbucker version of the Norton, engineered to deliver distinctive performance in both neck and bridge positions. It produces a deep and warm tone without becoming muddy, balancing hot output with clarity and rich harmonic overtones. The patented magnetic structure significantly reduces string-pull, extending sustain and enhancing dynamic pick sensitivity.
When placed in the neck position, the pickup provides an open, expressive sound that balances seamlessly with high-output bridge humbuckers. Using 500K potentiometers helps maximize treble articulation and upper-frequency harmonic presence for clear, defined lead and rhythm playing.
Installed in the bridge position, this pickup offers a solid low-end foundation paired with biting harmonics for blues-rock and high-gain versatility. It pairs exceptionally well with various single-coils and humbuckers to achieve a wide array of balanced tonal options across solid body and semi-hollow body guitars.
