DiMarzio Illuminator Bridge Pickup

Designed for John Petrucci’s Music Man JP13 guitar, the DiMarzio Illuminator Bridge Model pickup represents the next generation in John’s signature sound. Engineered for exceptional versatility, it transitions seamlessly from massive, tight, and aggressive rhythm tones to expressive, liquid lead lines with enhanced clarity and presence.
To widen the sonic distinction between neck and bridge positions, this high-output humbucker increases midrange punch, elevates highs, and tightens the low-end response. Hard picking yields dynamic attack that projects cleanly through heavy overdrive without muddying the lower strings.
Equipped with a ceramic magnet and 4-conductor wiring, this pickup delivers modern high-gain articulation and versatile wiring configurations. It was featured extensively on Dream Theater's self-titled 2013 studio album.
